Roma

italia design 2008

A member of the SIAT Italia Design Field School in 2008, part of the in-field group assignment was to create a fully-featured slideshow for each of the main centres we visited. My approach with Rome was to capture the angles or moments that the other students may not have seen, with an emphasis on the graphic qualities of photography, and emotional, rather than realistic colour. We lived down the street from the Coloseo. We played frisbee in the Circo Massimo. It was amazing.

photo selection

Using lightroom for the first time, I experimented heavily on this set of photos. I wanted Rome to appear as beautiful and colourful as possible, and I wanted to express the vibrancy of it's reality. The full set is 123 photos. 42 Select images are displayed below. To view the entire set, or any of my other photographs, go to my flickr by clicking here.
