Site Redesign & Development 2011
Sonrise Church decided it was time to overhaul the aging 90's era website, to revive the web presence and help the congregation connect. The team wanted to incorporate media features like sermon audio and video clips, while also providing an up-to-date calendar of events, and weekly announcements, among other features. The entire site was built on Wordpress.
The Site
Along with the sermon audio, video clips, events calendar, and weekly announcements, I also added a self-updating daily Bible reading feature, which displays the verse(s) for yesterday, today, and tomorrow; clicking the link takes the visitor to the corresponding verse on BibleGateway.com to make it as easy as possible to access the teaching for the day. Since launching the new website, some of the sermons have reached audiences as far as China and Zimbabwe.
